Interim Financial Accountant (Ongoing contract)

We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to support a company with an enviable heritage in Central London. This is a great opportunity for somebody who is looking to move on from a role in an Accountancy Practice, and has some experience of audit.
You’ll be responsible for providing day-to-day support to staff, ensuring smooth running of the transactional accounting function, and assisting with ongoing projects. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with a calm demeanour and excellent communication skills.
What you will do:
You will need to be available to work onsite in Central London 5 days a week with a planned start date of mid-September

What you will do:
- Ensure that the processing of invoices is completed to a high level which is compliant with company processes
- Work with suppliers to develop strong and financially advantageous relationships
- Supervise & train colleagues and assist with escalated queries
- Ensure that the relevant approvals and authorisations and obtained
- Check colleagues’ work to ensure that quality standards are maintained
- Liaise with colleagues via email and in person to resolve queries and discrepancies
- At least 5 years’ experience in an Accounting role
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of transactional accounting processes
