Description of role:
I am delighted to be partnering with a leading, specialist law firm who are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Cashier to join their Finance team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity if you have at least five years’ experience in a busy legal practice and are confident working with the SRA’s accounting rules, AML controls and double-entry bookkeeping. Based at their City of London offices, you’ll also have the chance to travel occasionally to their UK offices (with expenses reimbursed!). You’ll be joining a collaborative and supportive finance team where clear communication, teamwork and adaptability are highly valued.
One of the real highlights here is the benefits package. As part of an Employee Ownership Trust model, you’ll share directly in the success of the firm with access to annual tax-free bonuses. You’ll also enjoy 28 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, your birthday off, a matched pension scheme, and generous parental leave policies. On top of this, there’s hybrid working (3 days in the office), private medical insurance, income protection, life assurance, eye test provision, and household and lifestyle discounts. The firm has created a people-focused culture that genuinely rewards contribution and fosters long-term career satisfaction.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of finance operations. You’ll be heavily involved in month-end billing, reconciliations, disbursements, purchase ledger support, employee expenses and assisting with daily credit control. With a busy workload and month-end deadlines, you’ll need to be resilient, methodical and detail-focused, as well as willing to step in and support colleagues when needed. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, this role will give you both challenge and variety.
If you’re a skilled Legal Cashier looking for your next challenge in a forward-thinking, award-winning law firm, this could be the ideal move for you. The salary on offer is £50,000–£60,000 (depending on experience), alongside the generous benefits and bonus structure. Interviews are being arranged quickly, so if this sounds like the right fit, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me today to discuss the role in more detail.
