About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Policy Coordination & Regulatory Risk professional to join the Regulatory Risk & Control Oversight programme’ of our corporate banking client based in London. This pivotal role will support the Department in ensuring robust coordination of regulatory policy, oversight of compliance risk, and effective management of control assessments across financial crime, markets, and banking obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Coordination: Lead the Department’s policy coordination efforts, acting as the primary liaison with the Group Compliance Policy Portal Team.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Serve as a subject-matter expert on regulatory risk across financial crime, markets, and banking activities. Partner with 1st and 2nd Line teams to oversee the effective implementation of regulatory changes.
  • Control Self-Assessment: Coordinate the annual Compliance Control Self-Assessment (CSA) exercise for RC UK and collaborate with the IC Non-Financial Risk (NFR) team to align with the London-wide control self-assessment framework.
  • Risk Analysis: Manage the annual Compliance Risk Analysis exercise, ensuring timely delivery and clear reporting to local Senior Management.
  • Regulatory Oversight: Support the Programme, ensuring comprehensive oversight of compliance with relevant financial crime, markets, and banking regulations. Act as deputy where required, including serving as Secretary and Deputy Chair of the London Regulatory Forum.
  • Governance Documentation: Assist in maintaining and periodically updating Compliance documentation from a regulatory perspective.
  • Assurance & Remediation: Liaise with the Compliance Assurance team on relevant reviews and contribute to remediation of findings and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
  • Strong knowledge of UK and international regulatory frameworks across financial crime, markets, and banking activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in compliance, regulatory risk, or policy coordination within corporate banking.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across multiple lines of defence.
  • Proven analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deliverables to tight deadlines.
