Is this the IT Support Engineer role for you?

Crone Corkill are assisting an Uxbridge based client as they look to add an IT Support Engineer to the team. Due to the nature of the role and the users you’ll be supporting, it’s essential to have the capability of offering a VIP/White Glove service to end users, whilst also being available to travel to their European sites at relatively short notice (usually a couple of days in advance).

Outside of the UK, the key offices you’ll support are in France, Italy and Germany. The ability to speak any of these languages is desirable.

Regarding the tech stack, this client have the Microsoft E3 license fully implemented, so experience with the likes of Intune, SCCM, Entra ID, Active Directory, M365 applications and ServiceNow is essential. Experience supporting iPhone and Mac users is also important.

What will you do as an IT Support Engineer?

  • Provide 1st, 2nd and some 3rd Line Support to end users predominantly based in Uxbridge, but also in their French, Italian and German offices
  • Support a hybrid Windows/Mac environment – Around 200 users on Windows and 100 on Mac
  • Provide a White Glove and detail orientated service to end users, ensuring that when changes are made, users are comfortable and confident in their use of new hardware and software
  • Test Microsoft and Apple devices and assist with Cyber Security awareness training
  • Manage starters/leavers
  • Provide audit and conference support globally
  • Dispatch equipment to other European countries
